Nowadays, you can choose from so many kinds of LED lights that it's almost inevitable that you would want to buy and use at least one of them!

Meanwhile, it's not always clear how you should fix these lights on walls, especially when you don't want to damage the walls.

Here's how you can do it.

Clean the Wall

Before attaching the LED lights, clean the wall surface where you plan to stick them.

Use a clean, dry cloth to remove any dust, dirt, or grease. This step ensures better adhesion.

Measure and Cut

If your LED light strip is longer than needed, measure the desired length, and cut it at the marked spot.

Most LED strips have cutting marks every few inches or centimeters. Be careful to cut along the designated lines to avoid damaging the lights.

Peel and Stick

Most LED strips come with adhesive backing. Carefully peel off the protective covering to expose the adhesive side.

Start at one end of the strip and press it onto the cleaned wall surface. Apply gentle, even pressure to ensure good adhesion.

Slowly peel away the backing while sticking the LED strip to the wall, moving along your desired path.

Secure the End

To prevent the end of the LED strip from peeling away, you can use adhesive clips or hooks. These provide extra support and keep the strip in place.

Plug In and Test

If your LED lights require a power source, plug them into an electrical outlet or power adapter.

Ensure that they work correctly before securing them permanently.

Conceal Wires

If there are wires hanging down, consider using cable clips, raceway channels, or cable organizers to hide and secure the wires along the wall or baseboards.

This makes your installation look neater and safer.

Conclusion

Familiarize yourself with these features and customize the lighting to your liking.

Always follow the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer of your LED lights for the best results and safety.
