Bathrooms can become as dusty as other rooms in your house, but sometimes it can be even more noticeable.

It happens because of white toilets and baths, and it becomes even more noticeable if you have light-colored tiles.

Here is how you can clean your dusty bathroom easily and effectively.

Gather Your Supplies

Get a bucket, a sponge or cleaning cloth, a bathroom cleaner, an old toothbrush, and a dusting tool like a microfiber cloth or a duster.

Remove Items

Take out any personal items, like toothbrushes, soap, or decorations, so you can clean all surfaces easily.

Dust Surfaces

Use a dry cloth or duster to gently wipe away dust from surfaces like countertops, shelves, and any decorations.

Clean Mirrors

Spray a glass cleaner or a water and vinegar solution on bathroom mirrors. Wipe them with a clean cloth or paper towel to make them shiny.

Clean Countertops and Sink

Dampen a sponge or cloth with the bathroom cleaner (or soapy water) and wipe down countertops and the sink. Pay attention to corners and faucets.

Scrub the Toilet

Apply toilet cleaner inside the bowl and let it sit. Use a toilet brush to scrub the bowl. Wipe down the outside of the toilet with a damp cloth.

Clean the Shower or Tub

Use a bathroom cleaner or a mixture of water and soap to clean the surfaces of the shower or tub. Scrub with a sponge or cloth, paying attention to corners and grout lines.

Wipe Down Cabinets and Shelves

Clean bathroom cabinets and shelves with a damp cloth. Check for any items that may have collected dust.

Clean Floors

Sweep or vacuum the bathroom floor to remove dust and debris. Then, mop the floor with a floor cleaner or a mixture of water and a mild floor detergent.

Replace Items

Put back all the items you removed, making sure they are clean as well.

Ventilation

Ensure the bathroom is well-ventilated during and after cleaning. Open a window or turn on the exhaust fan to help dry surfaces.
