Small brightly colored flowers can be entire or deeply incised, resembling snowflakes, simple or delicate terry. They are collected in corymbose or umbrella-shaped inflorescences and bloom from June to late autumn.
Phlox love the sun, but can grow in partial shade. However, do not confuse it with a shadow. Penumbra is a place where the sun shines for half a day, or a place under a tree in the light, openwork shade of its leaves.
The best place to land is well-lit, shaded during the midday hours. In the bright sun, phloxes grow well, bloom profusely, but the flowering period is reduced, and the flowers often fade.
With excessive shading, the plants stretch, the flowers lose their color.
Phlox prefers loose, fertilized and drained soil with pH = 5.5-6.7 and deep groundwater.
Since phloxes grow in one place for several years, a complex fertilizer for flowers, or superphosphate and potassium sulfate, is added to the planting hole.
Solutions of microelements are watered once a summer in a bucket per 1 sq. m landings. Phlox bushes should be watered systematically, trying to ensure that the soil is always moist.
