Cinnamon (cinnamomum verum) is the dried inner layer of the bark of the evergreen Ceylon cinnamon tree, which grows in India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

Cinnamon is considered the main winter spice.

It is immediately memorable for its woody, spicy notes and the fact that its smell creates a special, warm atmosphere.

How to Grow Cinnamon

Water the seeds so that the soil is moist but the seeds are not submerged.

The cinnamon tree is grown for 2 years, after which it is cut off at the root (the stump remains, and the roots are in the ground).

In a year, about ten new shoots will appear around the stump.

They will be the source of your fresh cinnamon.

How to water

The first watering is carried out with the expectation that the seeds will be well moistened and not flooded with a puddle of water.

The soil must be kept moist at all times.

You will have to grow a cinnamon tree for at least two years, and then the time will come to cut it literally at the root, leaving only the stump.
