Epipremnum is a vine with heart-shaped leaves.
The scientific name of this genus can be translated from Greek as “on the trunks.”
It is recommended to grow Epipremnum in a fairly wide, but not deep container, since the root system of the plant is fibrous and not too voluminous.
The width of the pot should preferably exceed its depth.
When replanting, the size of the container is increased by no more than 2 cm.
To root, a cutting with 2-3 leaves needs to be cut under the place where the leaf is attached, this is where new roots will come from.
Such cuttings root easily in water or soil at room temperature and dim light.
When planting in the ground, the cuttings can be covered with a glass or polyethylene cap, which will serve as a greenhouse for it.
Epipremnum aureus requires a moist environment.
Keep potting soil moist in spring, summer and fall.
In summer, water Epipremnum aureus every day.
Do not water the plant at high temperatures at noon; it is better to do it in the morning or evening.
