Some old sewing machines are just beautiful, and they are perfect for creating stylish coffee tables.
If you have one, then don't throw it away - it can become a great piece of interior!
Here's a little guide on how to make one.
Start by cleaning the sewing machine base. Remove any rust or dirt using a wire brush.
If you want to keep the base's original color, you can apply a clear varnish or sealant to protect it.
Sand the wooden tabletop to make it smooth and remove any old finish.
You can choose to stain or paint the wood to match your style. Let it dry completely.
Turn the sewing machine base upside down.
Position the wooden tabletop on top of the sewing machine base, making sure it's centered and secure.
Using screws, attach the tabletop to the base by screwing through the holes in the base into the wood. Make sure it's firmly attached.
If you've stained or painted the wooden top, you can apply a clear varnish or sealant to protect the finish. Let it dry thoroughly.
Flip the table back over so the sewing machine base is on the floor, and the tabletop is on top.
Now you have a unique coffee table made from an old sewing machine!
DIY is a great way of creating new things, so don't just throw away all old items in your house - some of them have amazing potential to become something new and cool!
