This is a perennial ornamental and melliferous plant with a branched rhizome. The plant has an unusually long flowering - from July until the onset of frost.

Plant features

For abundant flowering, the corostavnik must be planted in the sunniest place. It is not demanding on the soil, but it is better to ensure that it is planted in fertile soil. Suitable for cutting and arranging bouquets of dried flowers.

How to plant

The flower of the corostavnik is grown by seedling and seedless seed method. The choice of method depends primarily on climatic conditions: in areas where return frosts are a common occurrence, it is better to grow bark through seedlings, and in areas with warm early springs, bark seeds can be sown directly into the ground.

They do this in early April: they place the seeds on the surface at a distance from each other and bury them in the soil.

As soon as the seedlings have two true leaves, they are seated in separate pots or dive into a larger box at a distance from each other.

In the open ground, seedlings of the bark are planted after a two-week hardening when the threat of return frosts has passed.

Watering

Medium water requirements, watering should be done every week or after the top soil has dried.

Water thoroughly until the soil is saturated and excess water is completely drained from the drain hole.
