If there is not enough sun and heat in your area, then it is better to plant peanuts as seedlings or grow them in a greenhouse.

Its beans hatch quite quickly, and it is better to plant them in loose, breathable soil.

It grows even on loam and sandy soil; I planted it in a mixture of black soil, sand and peat.

How do peanuts grow and bloom

The leaves are oval and slightly pointed, the peanut flowers are above the ground and the fruits ripen below the ground.

This amazing process occurs like this: planting seeds begins in early spring, after a short time tiny yellow or orange flowers appear in the lower part of the seed.

How to plant peanuts in the countryside

Peanuts are planted in open ground in late April - early May, when the soil is sufficiently warm.

For planting, prepare holes approximately 5 cm deep.

Place 3-4 nuts in each hole. Watering peanuts immediately after planting is not recommended.

When should you start hilling peanuts

The first hilling should be carried out 10 days after flowering.

Repeat hilling 2-3 times after 10 days. Cleaning is carried out in two stages.

First, the peanuts are dug to the surface, placed in windrows and allowed to dry, then the beans are separated from the roots and sent for drying and storage.

When to remove peanuts from the garden

There are no exact terms for this matter. However, harvesting begins after the leaves of the plant begin to turn yellow.

To do this, dig up several beans and look at the seeds. If it sheds fairly easily, harvest it.
