Proper arrangement of the toilet is one of the main tasks of the owners of puppies and dogs of small breeds.
Puppies should be potty or diaper trained.
Small dog breeds are not always able to go outside, for example, in winter or heavy rain.
Larger pets may also need a litter box in the apartment if the animal gets sick or has surgery.
What are dog trays
There are the following types of toilets for dogs:
- With lattice. On the surface there is a grid that forms the distance between the bottom and the paws of the animal. This option does not require filler, diapers. After use, the tray is washed with water and disinfectant or soap.
- Diaper frame. This is a small toilet, on the bottom of which a litter is placed. Suitable for small dogs that are difficult to walk in bad weather.
- With a column. A diaper is placed inside the accessory or a filler is poured. The grate above the bottom protects the paws of the animal from pollution, and the column is needed for males who relieve themselves by lifting their hind legs.
- Large. Equipped with a frame or a latch to fix the absorbent material. Designed for larger pets.
In addition to tray toilets, there are also reusable, gel diapers and bedding.
