As a rule, summer residents believe that it can be planted according to the residual principle - where it was necessary. But cabbage loves the light, otherwise the forks will be loose, with bitterness, the quality of the heads will be low.

It is better to plant cabbage next to potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, beets, it is undesirable - next to radishes, leafy mustard.

The soil

The optimum soil acidity (pH) is 5.5–6.0. On acidic soils, the risk of clubroot damage increases. Cabbage is also demanding on light, so it cannot be grown in shady places. The best predecessors for cabbage are well-fertilized crops.
