The soil should be airy and nutritious. Perlite, vermiculite or coarse sand can be added as leavening agents.

For nutritional value, add a handful of complex spring-summer fertilizer, as well as humus or compost.

How to plant

Heuchera should be planted in mid-spring.

Before planting, you need to cut off all stems, as well as diseased and damaged parts of the roots.

Sections need to be treated with special compounds.

The bushes are planted in a checkerboard pattern, leaving about half a meter between flowers.

How to water

Moisture should be in moderation: in summer, do not dry it out, and in spring and autumn, do not allow it to get wet.

Heucheras are not plants that have any special requirements for soil acidity.

Most varieties grow well in neutral to slightly acidic soils, and in our gardens the soil is usually slightly acidic.

Top dressing

Heucheras are not demanding of nutritious soil, so one feeding per year is enough for them: in the spring.

Moreover, the concentration is two times less than for other ornamental plants.

Use complex mineral fertilizers with low nitrogen content (such fertilizers are often labeled “Autumn”).
