Phalaenopsis is a light-loving plant, but during the flowering period it can stand for some time in a dimly lit place.

After the orchid has finished blooming, move it to a well-lit place, but not in direct sunlight.

How to care for phalaenopsis orchids

Eastern and western window sills are ideal.

In the south it will be just right only in winter, since in summer it will be necessary to protect the orchid leaves from the scorching direct rays of the sun.

The norm for phalaenopsis is 12–16 hour daylight hours.

The plant should be turned 180º towards the light 2 times a month.

Drafts, sudden changes in temperature, excessive heat are undesirable phenomena when growing Phalaenopsis.

To stimulate the flowering of Orchids, a change in daily temperature is artificially created by 3-5 degrees.

Comfortable water temperature for irrigation is 35°-40°C.

In the warm season and during the flowering period, orchids should be watered twice a week.

In winter - no more than once every two weeks.

After the orchid has rested, and you already miss its flowering, it is recommended to create stress for the orchid: put it in a cold place for a day (24 hours), for example, on a balcony if it is winter, or in the refrigerator (WITHOUT a freezing system) if it's summer.
