Candles can ruin furniture with wax, which is quite difficult to get rid of. There are some easy ways to remove wax.
With a hair dryer
The heat from the hair dryer helps soften the wax.
For cleaning you will need:
- Heat the wax with a hair dryer, gradually increasing the temperature.
- Wipe the wax with a dry paper towel.
With an iron
This method also allows you to melt the wax with heat:
- Cover the wax with wrapping paper.
- Place the heated iron on top.
- Under the influence of heat, the wax should be absorbed into the paper.
With the help of boiling water
This method is suitable for small items:
- Boil water.
- Submerge the dirty object in water.
- Remove the item from the boiling water with tongs.
- Take the wax out of the water and throw it in the trash.
Wax can freeze sewer pipes.
Freezing
- Place the item in the freezer.
- You can remove frozen wax with your hands or a knife.
If the wax has soiled the tablecloth, curtains or cloth napkins, use the washing machine.
Scrape off as much wax as possible before washing. Then wash the garment on the hottest setting.
