Examples of apex predators include the following.

Lions

Great White Sharks

These sharks are apex predators in marine ecosystems. 

They help regulate populations of marine mammals and other fish species.

Wolves

Wolves are apex predators in various ecosystems, such as forests and tundras. 

They prey on ungulates like deer and elk.

Polar Bears

Polar bears are apex predators in the Arctic region. 

They mainly feed on seals and are crucial to the balance of the Arctic food web.

Killer Whales

Orcas are apex predators in the oceans and have a diverse diet that includes fish, marine mammals, and even other whales.

Cheetahs

Cheetahs are apex predators in grassland ecosystems.
