When choosing flowers for your garden, you should always choose not only the prettiest ones, but also those you can actually take care of.

If you're new to gardening, then low-maintenance options can be the best for you, because they won't waste lots of your time.

Here are a few options that look good and can be grown easily.

Marigolds (Tagetes)

Marigolds are known for their resilience and ability to withstand different weather conditions.

Marigolds require minimal care and can thrive in both full sun and partial shade.

They also act as natural pest deterrents, making them a beneficial addition to any garden.

Zinnias (Zinnia elegans)

Zinnias offer a wide range of colors, from bold and vibrant to soft pastels. Zinnias prefer full sun and well-draining soil.

They are drought-tolerant and can withstand hot summer temperatures.

Regular deadheading (removing spent blooms) will encourage continuous blooming throughout the season.

Sunflowers (Helianthus annuus)

Sunflowers are relatively low-maintenance and can grow in various soil types.

Sunflowers require full sun exposure and regular watering, especially during dry periods.

Their tall stalks and large flower heads make them a visually captivating addition to your garden.

Cosmos (Cosmos bipinnatus)

Cosmos flowers are delicate and daisy-like, with feathery foliage.

They come in an array of colors, including pink, white, and purple.

Cosmos are easy to grow from seeds and thrive in full sun. They are adaptable to different soil types and are fairly drought-tolerant.

Regular deadheading will encourage continuous blooming, and they will often self-seed, creating a naturalized effect in your garden.
