A flowerpot for planting a flytrap should be plastic (not transparent), preferably in light colors and always have a hole in the bottom.
Carnivorous Plants do not like ceramic pots, as they release all sorts of salts over time; bamboo pots will not work either.
Make a small hole in the substrate poured into the pot and place the Venus flytrap there.
Take a pot (plastic) no more than 10 cm high and no less than 12-15 cm wide.
We recommend purchasing a pot complete with a tray.
The stem of the plant should be sprinkled with earth, and moss should be placed on top.
As a rule, the hunger of a flycatcher is indicated by the bright coloring of the traps, so everyone who bought a flycatcher in the spring or summer most likely noticed how it turns green in the fall and so on until spring and summer.
The flycatcher belongs to heat-loving plants.
During the growing season, the optimal temperature is 22–30⁰С, possibly increasing to 35–38 degrees, which does not affect growth and development.
But such a temperature should not be maintained all year round; in winter it is necessary to lower it to 8 degrees.
Dionaea does not tolerate stagnant air.
How often should Dionea be watered
We recommend watering 3 times a week using a tray.
If you want to water using the usual overhead method, we recommend that you avoid falling into traps, otherwise the plant may die.
The soil in the pot should always be slightly moist.
