Iresine is a bushy herbaceous perennial that can be found in the wild in Latin America.

Growing irezine

Irezine is quite normal at standard room temperature (20-27 degrees). Lighting. Culture loves bright but diffuse lighting.

Choose a place where the bush gets plenty of light in the morning and evening.

Soil and container for planting

The ideal soil for irezine is loose, permeable, with a slightly acidic alkaline reaction (pH 5.0-7.0).

Suitable for the plant are soil mixtures made up of the following components: turf, leaf soil, sand - 2:1:1, peat, turf, leaf soil, sand - 2:4:4:1.

Previously, irezine was propagated exclusively by cuttings, but now it is possible to easily grow it from seeds.

This plant can also be grown indoors as an indoor perennial.

Sow in bowls to a depth of 0.5-1 cm, water and cover with glass until germination.
