St. John's wort needs plenty of sunlight but does not tolerate direct light.
Grow the plant in the shade of other plants or on a balcony away from intense light.
How to grow Hypericum
Hypericum prolificum can be propagated by sowing, pruning or division. Seeds need to be sown in a sandy bed.
Sprinkle them with a thin layer of soil, water once and germinate the seeds at a temperature of 10 to 12 ℃.
Keep the soil moist.
How to sow St. John's wort correctly
It is preferable to plant St. John's wort in early spring.
The seeds are sown on the surface of the soil, after which they are lightly sprinkled with the same sand.
The row spacing should be maintained at least forty-five centimeters.
For every square meter of soil, approximately three to four milligrams of seeds are consumed.
How to care for Hypericum
You should choose hypericum with dark-colored flower buds and hard leaves.
Branches affected by mold rot and yellow spots on the leaves should be discarded.
Having received hypericum, you should remove the leaves that will be located under water.
Tree-like stems need to be trimmed with pruning shears or a sharp knife.
