If you prefer to plant regular garden plants, then you still can make it a bit more exciting - just choose rare varieties!

Lots of them have unusual sizes, colors, or tastes, so it's always fun to experiment with them.

Let's look at a few examples of regular plants that might surprise you.

Rainbow Roses

These roses have petals in various colors, like a rainbow.

It's done by splitting the stem into several parts and dipping each part in different-colored dyes, so the rose grows with multicolored petals.

Black Tomatoes

Instead of the usual red, these tomatoes are dark purple or almost black. They taste similar to regular tomatoes but have a distinctive look.

Dwarf Sunflowers

While sunflowers are typically tall, these are much shorter, like mini sunflowers. They're great for smaller gardens or as potted plants.

Blue Hydrangeas

These hydrangeas produce blue flowers because the soil they grow in has been treated to make them blue. Normally, hydrangeas are pink or white.

Variegated Plants

These are plants with leaves that have different colors, like green and white stripes. They add a unique look to your garden.

Chocolate Mint

This mint plant smells and tastes like chocolate and mint combined. It's perfect for making chocolate-flavored drinks or desserts.

Dragon's Breath Celosia

These plants have vibrant, flame-like flower heads that resemble a dragon's fiery breath. They're striking and unusual in a garden.

White Strawberries

Unlike red strawberries, these have white or pale yellow fruit. They taste sweet but have a unique appearance.

Zebra Tomatoes

These tomatoes have stripes like a zebra, with alternating green and yellow or orange stripes. They look fun and add a twist to salads.
