Rust stains can appear on clothing from contact with metal objects, rivets, buttons and other metal fittings. Rust eats into fabric thoroughly, but it can be removed at home.
Add lemon juice to a cotton swab and blot the rust stains with it.
Soak a cotton pad with a 3-6 percent hydrogen peroxide solution and apply it to the rust mark.
You don't need to use cotton wool, but simply pour a little product directly onto the stain.
To enhance the effect, sprinkle a little baking soda on top.
Wait 30–60 minutes, rinse the remaining mixture from the fabric and wash the item with detergent.
This option for removing rust from fabric is best suited for denim.
Vinegar and salt should be mixed into a not very thick paste, applied to the stain and left for several hours.
Next, the item is rinsed and the stain should disappear.
If necessary, the procedure must be repeated.
To remove rust stains from white fabric, dissolve about 20 g of citric acid in 100 ml of water, heat the solution to a temperature close to boiling, and carefully place the stained area of fabric in it for 5-10 minutes.
If the stain does not come off completely, repeat this unpleasant procedure again.
