Some foods taste beautifully when cooked together - they manage to enhance each other's flavors and textures, so they taste deliciously.

One of such food combinations is chicken cooked with mushrooms and cream - it's a perfect combination for holiday or everyday meals!

Here are a few tips on how to create a beautiful meal using these foods.

Prepare the Chicken

Season the chicken with salt and pepper on both sides. You can either use whole pieces or cut them into bite-sized chunks for quicker cooking.

Sear the Chicken

In a pan over medium-high heat, add olive oil or butter. Sear the chicken until it's golden brown on both sides. This step adds flavor to the dish.

Cook the Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook them until they become golden and release their moisture. This usually takes a few minutes.

Add Garlic

Stir in minced garlic, and sauté for about a minute until it becomes fragrant. Be cautious not to burn the garlic.

Pour in Cream

Reduce the heat to medium-low, and pour in the heavy cream.

Stir well to combine all the ingredients. Let it simmer for a few minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

Check for Seasoning

Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more salt and pepper according to your preference.

Simmer to Thicken

Let the mixture simmer until the sauce thickens to your liking. If you want a thicker sauce, you can simmer for a bit longer.

Serve

Once the chicken is fully cooked and the sauce has thickened, remove the pan from heat. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired.

Pairing Suggestions

This dish goes well with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce. You can also add steamed vegetables on the side for a balanced meal.
