Djungarian hamsters are peaceful and non-aggressive creatures.
The domesticated dwarf almost never bites, gets along well with children and trustingly falls asleep in the arms of its owner while he pets it.
What do Djungarian hamsters like to do
Djungarian hamsters are very attached to their owner and love to be petted and picked up.
Rodents are extremely active and cannot sit in their house “idly”, so it is recommended to arrange the home of the jungarian in such a way that he does not get bored.
But in order to be able to pick up your hamster and play with it, teach your pet to handle it from the very beginning.
What Djungarian hamsters can and cannot do
Among other things, Djungarian hamsters are contraindicated from sweets, sorrel, watermelon, citrus fruits, smoked meats and cabbage (white, Brussels sprouts and red cabbage).
You should not include coniferous tree branches, mint, mushrooms, potatoes and cheese in your hamsters' diet.
The hamster needs to be fed 1 or 2 times a day.
If you feed once a day, then the portion is taken in the late evening, before going to bed; If you feed 2 times a day, then add another morning meal.
If you have the urge to give your pet food in the middle of the day on the weekend, don’t, it will only harm him.
