Cats should not be given sweets, coffee, onions, garlic - many people know about this. Nevertheless, what non-obvious foods are dangerous for cats?
Eggs
“Absolutely not,” says the American Veterinary Association. This is because, like people, when eating raw eggs (or raw meat), cats can “catch” salmonellosis or echirichiosis.
Symptoms of poisoning by these pathogenic bacteria vary but include vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy.
Bread
Finally, cats should not eat bread and baked goods. Cats are not very good at digesting them.
Their body is not adapted to absorb large amounts of carbohydrates. Yeast in bread can also disrupt your pet's digestive system.
Potato
Although boiled potatoes do not contain solanine, they are still not the best food for a cat's diet. Potatoes are usually cooked with salt added - this is dangerous for cats and can damage the kidneys and urinary system.
