Even though animals can't write or read, they can be extremely intelligent!

Scientists study lots of animals and birds to test their intelligence, and sometimes they find actually impressive species.

Here are the smartest species.

Dolphins

Dolphins are renowned for their intelligence, social behavior, and complex communication skills. 

They display self-awareness, problem-solving capabilities, and have been observed using tools.

Chimpanzees

Chimpanzees are our closest relatives in the animal kingdom.

They also display social intelligence and can communicate through various gestures and vocalizations.

Elephants
