The Meyer variety is a sweeter tasting lemon, round in shape, with a thin skin and a rich yellow, close to orange color. Other varieties of lemons: "Eureka" - a very sour fruit without a strong smell from Argentina, they appear on sale in the summer.

How to Care for Meyer Lemons

The amount of watering depends on the season: in winter it is enough to water 1-2 times a week, and in summer - daily. Leaves must be sprayed. Lemon should be kept in a bright room, but not in direct sunlight. In summer, it is better to take the plant out into the air.

In the case of the Meyer lemon, it is necessary to create lighting conditions, but not too much, take care of constant drainage, fertilizer, regular watering, and optimal temperature conditions. On the contrary, the plant "does not like" strong winds and frosty winds.

Watering is carried out with water, warmer than air by 1-3 degrees, since a large temperature difference can lead to the death of flowers and ovaries. The amount of watering depends on the season: in winter it is enough to water 1-2 times a week, and in summer - daily. Leaves must be sprayed.

It makes no sense to fertilize a lemon during the dormant period. The first time fertilizers are applied at the beginning of March; at this moment nitrogen fertilizers are most often used.
