In order for violets to delight you with lush flowering from year to year, you need to know how to care for flowers properly.
Delicate violets with the minor mistakes in care can very quickly lose their beauty.
Violets love bright light, but they do not deal with the scorching sun rays. Their leaves turn yellow quickly and are covered with spots.
Which pots we need to choose for violets
The size of the pot plays an important role. Violets that have a small root system do not need large capacities.
Excess moisture is fraught with rotting of the roots. In spacious pots, the roots of violets will grow greatly, and the flower will not bloom much.
For young violets, 5-6 cm containers may be suitable.
Violets are not recommended to be grown in ceramic containers. Flowers in such pots cool down faster.
Ceramic pots often do not have drainage holes, which can lead to stagnation of moisture and rotting of the roots.
Even worse are glazed ceramic pots that do not "breathe", they need to be used as planters.
The best way to protect the roots of the flower from direct sunlight is to plant a violet in a plastic cup, and then put it in a planter.
