Mosquito nets are vital in the summer because they allow windows to be opened for a safe breath of fresh air.
These nets get polluted regularly and are not only unpleasant to look at, but also not so pleasant to breathe.
Here are some tips on how to clean them.
Shake off debris
Take the net outside and give it a gentle shake to remove any loose debris like dust, dirt, or dead insects.
Handwash or machine wash
Check the care instructions provided by the manufacturer.
If handwashing, fill a basin or sink with lukewarm water and add a mild detergent.
Gently submerge the net in the soapy water and agitate it with your hands.
If machine washing, use a delicate or gentle cycle with a mild detergent.
Place the net in a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase to protect it from tangling or getting caught in the machine.
Air dry
Hang the mosquito net in a well-ventilated area or outdoors to air dry.
Ensure it is fully extended to its original shape to prevent any shrinkage or deformity.
Iron if needed
Once the net is completely dry, you can lightly iron it on a low or delicate setting to remove any wrinkles or creases.
Rehang the net
Once the net is clean and dry, rehang it in its original position or any suitable location.
