Modern people often can't choose between trendy minimalism and their personal urge to buy and collect lots of things in their houses.

Some of these things make people genuinely happy, others are just hard to get rid of.

Here are a few signs that you need to declutter.

Limited Storage Space

When your storage areas, such as closets, cabinets, and drawers, are consistently overflowing and unable to accommodate all your belongings, it's a clear indicator that you have too much stuff.

Difficulty in Cleaning and Maintaining

If cleaning your house becomes a daunting and time-consuming task due to the number of items you own, it's a sign that you may have too much clutter.

Feeling Overwhelmed or Stressed

The presence of an overwhelming number of items in your living space can contribute to feelings of stress, anxiety, or a sense of being overwhelmed.

Lack of Functional Space

When your living areas, such as countertops, tabletops, or floors, are consistently cluttered with items, leaving little room for everyday activities, it's a clear sign that you have too much stuff.

Difficulty Letting Go

If you find it challenging to part with possessions or have a strong emotional attachment to items, even if they no longer serve a practical purpose, it indicates a potential excess.
