If you love cheesecakes but hate baking them, then you can always try cooking a no-baking cheesecake!
This amazing dessert can be quite diverse, so there are a couple of recipes you can try out without using your oven.
Let's find out more about them.
Prepare the Crust
Start by crushing the graham crackers or cookies.
You can use a food processor or put them in a zip-top bag and crush them with a rolling pin. You want fine crumbs.
In a bowl, mix the crumbs with the melted butter until all the crumbs are coated.
Press this mixture into the bottom of your pie or cake pan to make the crust. Use the back of a spoon to press it down firmly.
Make sure it's even and covers the bottom. You can also go up the sides of the pan if you like.
Make the Filling
In another bowl, using an electric mixer or a hand whisk, beat the cream cheese until it's smooth and creamy.
Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and continue to mix until it's well combined and has a silky texture.
Whip the Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until it becomes thick and forms stiff peaks.
This means when you lift the beaters or whisk, the cream should hold its shape.
Combine Everything
Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Use a spatula or a gentle stirring motion with a wooden spoon.
The goal is to keep the mixture light and airy, so don't stir too vigorously.
Fill the Crust
Pour the creamy mixture onto the crust in your pan. Smooth the top with a spatula to make it even.
Chill It
Place the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to allow it to set. It's even better if you can leave it in the fridge overnight.
This helps the cheesecake become firm and hold its shape.
Serve
Once the cheesecake has chilled and set, you can slice and serve it.
You can also add your favorite toppings like fresh fruit, fruit compote, chocolate sauce, or whipped cream.
