The plant is suitable for growing even at home. It is very unpretentious, does not require excessive attention: it is enough to provide it with optimal conditions for further growth.
Coffee is usually grown in light, loose and fairly acidic soil. Prepare the soil by mixing river sand, humus, greenhouse soil and peat in a ratio of 1:1:1:2. To get the desired degree of acidification, add a little sphagnum moss, previously chopped into small pieces.
We recommend watering coffee often, but in moderation. It is best to moisten the ground every 2-3 days, and in winter every 5-7 days.
In winter, you need to water once a week. The coffee tree loves water, so it is advisable to spray it daily with settled water.
As for top dressing, the coffee tree needs to be fed every 7-10 days during active growth. Mineral fertilizer with trace elements is best suited as top dressing.
The most important thing in caring for coffee is to protect it from drafts, sudden changes in temperature and a decrease in air temperature, maintain high humidity all year round (spray the plant regularly) and use only well-settled water for irrigation.
