A glass flask with a press inside filters the brew and prevents leaves from getting into the finished drink.
The principle of operation of a French press is simple: pour the brewing mixture into a flask, add water, cover with a lid and let it brew for several minutes according to the recipe.
When the infusion is ready, the plunger is smoothly lowered down.
This way, all the grounds remain under pressure, and at the top you get a clean drink that can be poured into cups.
If you haven’t melted the plastic yet, it’s usually done like this: turn the jacket over, hold the edge with both hands, and gently push the flask down with your thumbs.
If held above the table, the flask may jump out abruptly.
All you need to do is pour boiling water over a handful of salt to create a concentrated brine solution and soak the parts and the French press flask or teapot in it for as long as possible.
Then rinse in warm water and dry.
