Velvet material made entirely of silk is rare, and its market price is usually quite high.
Machine wash, even the most delicate, is not recommended for velvet products. Choose a cool water temperature for washing, no more than thirty degrees.
Use only a mild detergent that should have a gel-like consistency. That is, no powder materials. It is necessary to wash the thing in warm water, gently and carefully sorting and stroking your velvet thing in different directions. No roughness, otherwise you can easily damage the fabric.
It is not recommended to use bleach, detergents containing aggressive components; things must be thoroughly rinsed so that no traces of detergents remain.
First, clean the velvet from dust with a vacuum cleaner, but clean very carefully. Velvet stains can be removed with gasoline, alcohol, or vodka, while tea, coffee, and milk stains can be removed with a mild vinegar solution. Oily, glossy stains can be removed by pouring heated sand into the bag.
A tablespoon of ammonia dissolved in a glass of water will help get rid of stains. Use a cotton pad to treat the stain. You can use a steam iron to remove stubborn stains. Worn areas can be treated with an ammonia solution.
