Within 40-45 days after planting, you will be able to harvest.
In this article we will tell you the secrets of growing spinach at home.
What soil does spinach need
To grow spinach, choose soil with an acidity of 6.5 to 7.0 pH.
If the soil has a higher acidity, two months before planting, lime the soil or add dolomite flour. Like any greens, spinach requires fertile soil.
Depleted soil is enriched with organic matter or mineral complexes.
How to grow
This culture does not like shade, but the sun scorching all day long is also not a good option.
It is best if the sun illuminates the spinach pot for half a day or a little more.
Caring for plants consists of periodically thinning seedlings, killing weeds, loosening the soil and regular watering.
You need to leave a distance of 8-10cm between the bushes.
In hot, dry weather, watering is carried out daily. Do not allow the soil to dry out and water to stagnate in the root area.
When to cut spinach
The harvest is harvested 20-40 days after sowing, when the plants have already formed a rosette of five to six leaves, and some even have a small stem.
Spinach is harvested all at once, and since its leaves are tender and quickly wither, it is better to do this early in the morning.
