Wax candles are beautiful - they are perfect for creating a special atmosphere and fill the room with gentle fragrance.

Meanwhile, wax stains can be pretty hard to get rid of - especially if you don't know a few tricks.

You can save your favorite table cloth and jeans easily - just follow these steps!

Try freezing it

First, put the fabric with the wax in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This makes the wax hard and brittle.

Scrape it off

After freezing, take the fabric out and gently scrape off the wax with something like a credit card or a butter knife. Be careful not to damage the fabric.

Combine paper bags and heat

Now, place a clean, plain paper bag or a paper towel over the wax stain. Then, use a warm iron (not too hot) and press it on the paper bag.

The heat will melt the wax, and it will stick to the paper.

Wash it

After most of the wax is gone, wash the fabric in the washing machine as you normally would. Use a stain remover if needed.

Check the results

Before drying the fabric, make sure the wax stain is entirely gone. If it's not, repeat the steps until it's gone.

Conclusion

It's always better to use safe candle holders that can save your items from wax stains, but even if you end up having them, then you still can fix the situation.
