Salsa is a snack that is suitable for a light dinner or to treat guests at a small party.
What you need
- 1 poblano chili;
- 1 sweet pepper;
- 1 lime;
- 100 grams of chopped tomatoes;
- 50 grams of finely chopped red onion;
- 2 small chopped avocados;
- 30 grams of cilantro;
- Salt, black pepper to taste.
How to cook salsa
- Preheat the brazier. Place all peppers on a foil-lined baking sheet. Fry until charred for 7-10 minutes, turning constantly. Wrap cooked peppers in foil and set aside.
- After 15 minutes, remove the skin from the peppers, remove the seeds, veins and stems. Cut the peppers into medium cubes.
- Squeeze lime juice and grate 1 teaspoon of zest. In a deep bowl, mix juice, lime zest, peppers, tomatoes, onion, cilantro and avocado. Add salt to taste.
Roasting the peppers until charred will give the dish a nice smoky flavor.
To prevent hot peppers from getting into your eyes, use gloves while cooking.
