Have you ever wondered whether you're creative or not?

Well, a team of researchers have created a simple method to check your imagination and way of thinking.

Let's find out more!

A creative study

An international research team from McGill University, Harvard University, and the University of Melbourne has introduced a novel method to measure creativity.

They used a task called the Divergent Association Task (DAT), which involves generating lists of unrelated words and calculating the semantic distance between them.

This approach offers an objective way to assess creative potential.

In a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, participants were asked to provide 10 unrelated words, and a computational algorithm estimated the semantic distance between them.

This distance correlated well with established creativity measures.

The DAT simplifies creativity assessment, making it easier to evaluate larger and more diverse populations.

It allows for a more efficient and unbiased evaluation of creativity compared to traditional methods, which often involve subjective scoring.

This approach holds promise for advancing our understanding of human creativity.
