At 3–4 months, the break between meals for a puppy is 4 hours; six-month-old pets eat every 4–5 hours; at the age of 6 months and older, it is enough for a dog to eat every 7 hours.

Morning feeding is recommended around 7–8 o'clock.

How often to feed

Up to 2 months, the puppy should be fed 6 times a day; at 2–3 months - 5 times a day; from the 4th month - 4 times a day, from the 6th month - 3 times, and closer to the year the dog is transferred to two meals a day.

In this case, it is advisable to maintain equal intervals between feeding the puppy to avoid excessive stress on the gastrointestinal tract.

When to walk your dog before or after meals

Firstly, the animal goes outside to waste all its accumulated energy: run, jump, explore new smells - all this is extremely difficult to do with a full stomach.

Secondly, active games and exercises for a well-fed animal are a risk to its health.

How to care for puppies

Choose rooms that are easier to clean.

At first, the new pet will not be able to go to the toilet outside, so it will relieve itself at home.

If you choose a place to sleep in a room with soft carpets and furniture, the interior will be ruined.

It is more advisable to purchase a toilet or diapers.

The puppy's coat should be brushed daily with a massage brush or comb, and then wiped with a clean soft cloth.

After a walk, the paws and belly are wiped with a damp cloth.

On hot summer days, puppies from 3-4 months and older can be bathed in clean running water.
