Most pet owners have at least one story about their cat eating something they wouldn't expect it to like.

While most people assume that cats only love meat and fish, they actually can enjoy lots of "human" foods.

Here are a few examples of foods you might not expect your cat to enjoy.

Cooked Eggs

Offer scrambled or boiled eggs as a protein-rich treat. Cats may appreciate the texture and taste.

Plain Cooked Chicken or Turkey

Cooked poultry, like chicken or turkey, provides lean protein. Ensure it's unseasoned and boneless for a safe and enjoyable snack.

Plain Cooked Fish

Cats are known for their love of fish. Offer small amounts of cooked fish, such as salmon or tuna.

Remove any bones to prevent choking hazards.

Pumpkin Puree

Pumpkin puree is not only tasty but can also aid in digestion. It's a good source of fiber. Ensure it's plain without any added sugar or spices.

Cheese

Cats can be fans of cheese. Opt for low-lactose options like cheddar or mozzarella. Feed in moderation due to the fat content.

Baby Food (Meat Flavors)

Baby food with meat flavors, such as chicken or beef, can be an enticing option. Ensure it doesn't contain any ingredients harmful to cats.

Cantaloupe or Watermelon

Some cats might enjoy small, seedless pieces of cantaloupe or watermelon as a hydrating and refreshing treat.

Plain Greek Yogurt

Plain Greek yogurt is not only tasty but also a source of probiotics, which can be beneficial for your cat's digestive health.

Make sure it's plain and free of artificial sweeteners.
