Freesia bulbs need to be germinated before planting.
Usually, they begin to germinate in pots from January to April.
Please note: flowering occurs five to six months after germination begins.
A drainage layer is created at the bottom of the pot, moistened soil is poured in and the bulbs are buried 5 cm.
The pots are placed in a room with a temperature of 15 degrees, after germination, the containers are transferred to a room with a temperature of up to 22 degrees, and watered regularly.
These flowers love moisture; in hot weather they need to be watered daily.
Every evening, spray with clean water, avoiding getting it on the flowers.
After rain or watering, do not forget to loosen the soil.
Once the sprouts emerge, move them to a cooler location before they bloom.
Keep the soil moist, but don't overdo it. Once plants reach 6 inches in height, fertilize every 2 weeks using a good liquid fertilizer.
After flowering, the friable freesia will die and become dormant.
