Well-cared for sweet basil can grow in the ground for up to six months.
They live in a pot for about four months.
To accelerate germination, soak the seeds in warm water for 1–2 days, change the water every 12 hours.
Keep them in a weak pink solution of potassium permanganate for 2 hours and dry on a napkin.
Fill the prepared containers or pots with a drainage layer of expanded clay or pebbles.
Move the pot to a sunny windowsill, where the basil will bloom in full bloom throughout the year.
During the cold season, water the plant 2-3 times a week. In summer, the soil should always remain moist.
Basil is a heat-loving crop; at temperatures below 20 degrees it loses its aroma and slows down its growth.
Basil likes high humidity. Therefore, if you are growing it in a pot, water it once a day, preferably in the morning.
It is this watering mode that gives the best results.
However, if it is very hot and dry outside, you can water it twice a day. For example, in the morning and at noon.
Basil is not difficult to grow. However, in order for it to produce as much greenery as possible, the plant must be pruned correctly.
When pruned in the right place, new young branches with delicate greenery are formed and the bush turns out to be constantly young and lush.
