Washing your socks correctly will extend their lifespan.
It is important to know some washing secrets.
To begin, place the socks in a bowl of lukewarm water, about 30 degrees.
Use a mild detergent.
Soak the socks for ten minutes, then rinse in warm and finally in cold water.
Hand-knitted natural wool socks are suitable for hand washing only.
The water temperature should be no higher than 30 degrees.
Already when washed in water at 40 degrees, socks can lose their shape.
Dissolve detergents in water.
Socks do not like curling and high temperatures, so wash them on the “no spin” and “no dry” cycle to prevent the socks from shrinking and losing their shape.
Washed socks should be hung on a line, preferably in fresh air, but without direct sunlight.
Depending on what material the socks are made of, you should choose the mode and temperature.
For example, a temperature of 60 degrees Celsius is suitable for cotton products.
For synthetics - 40 degrees Celsius, but woolen socks are best washed at the lowest possible temperature.
