In this article, we will tell you how to decorate your home with natural materials.
Weave a wreath of dry branches, leaves, bunches of mountain ash and hang it on the front door. Gather an autumn harvest of pumpkins, zucchini, squash in wicker baskets, decorate the harvest with hay and foliage and place it next to the door. Create an autumn mood not only for yourself, but also for your neighbors.
Move the leaves between sheets of old newspapers, and press down on top with a press. Large encyclopedias, or any other heavy books, can serve as a press. Approximately once every 2-3 days, sort out the herbarium, for airing, and revision, maybe something has already dried out, and the leaves can be removed into the album.
Collect small bouquets of 2-5 pieces from flowers, tie up and hang buds down in a dark place with good air circulation. If the flowers were in a vase before, cut off the part of the stem that was in contact with the water. Keep the plants out of the sun or they will burn and fade.
Plants should be positioned fairly flat, cutting large parts or inflorescences with a knife or scissors for better distribution (for example, rose and dahlia inflorescences). Plants for herbariums can only be dried between sheets of paper by pressing.
