To keep land frogs, choose a terrarium with a thick layer of substrate at the bottom.

Don't forget about filling the terrarium: plants, shelters, water source.

To keep aquatic frogs you will need a regular aquarium with a lid and a water filter.

How long do frogs live on average

In natural habitats, frogs live on average 7-9 years.

They could live longer if they didn't have so many enemies.

In captivity, when properly maintained, some species of frogs, such as grass frogs, can live 18 years.

What you need to keep a frog

For maintenance you will need an aquarium with a volume of at least 20 liters per individual.

Landing is not required. The optimal temperature for clawed frogs is 20-25°C.

It is best kept in groups; compatibility with fish and other amphibians is conditional, since the frog is a predator.

How and what to feed

The diet of a domestic frog should be varied. Food is given daily: adult representatives are fed 2-3 times a day and tadpoles 1-2 times a day.

The babies begin to be fed 5-6 days after hatching from the eggs.

In their natural habitat, aquarium frogs feed on insects, larvae, worms, and fish fry.

At home, it is best to feed frogs with specialized dry food.
