While rats can enjoy a variety of treats in moderation, there are certain foods that can be potentially dangerous for them due to their nutritional content or potential to cause health issues.

Some of them are pretty obvious, but other forbidden treats might surprise you.

Here are some treats that you should be cautious about giving to your pet rats.

Citrus Fruits

Citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and grapefruits are too acidic for rats and can upset their digestive system.
