Not every housewife knows how to cook fried potatoes with a golden crust so that it does not burn, does not remain raw inside and does not fall apart.
The main questions remain: how many minutes do you need to fry the potatoes, on what heat and whether it is necessary to cover the pan with a lid.
We will answer all of them.
The potatoes are fried over medium heat, since a golden crust does not form on a small fire, and on a high fire the potatoes burn, but remain raw inside.
Spread the dried potatoes on a well-heated frying pan with plenty of oil. Fry the potatoes for 5-7 minutes until the crust sets.
Then with a wooden spatula, the potatoes are shifted to the other side and fried for another 5 minutes.
This is repeated several times until the potatoes are browned on all sides. The total frying time should not exceed 25 minutes.
It is not necessary to cover the pan with a lid during frying, otherwise it will cook not fried, but steamed.
