Nemophila blooms 3–3.5 months after sowing. As a rule, it is sown in March-April, when it is already light enough and the seedlings do not need additional lighting.
Sow the seeds in a container with a loose and fertile substrate, lightly sprinkle with soil on top.
When and how to plant nemophila
Nemophila seeds are sown in early May in open ground. Shoots appear at the end of the second week.
In order for the plant to spread like a continuous carpet, it is necessary to sow the seeds at a distance of 15-20 cm from each other.
If you want the flowering to be in September-October, then sow the seeds in July.
How to care for a nemophila
Nemophila grows well in light shade and moist soil. If the summer is very hot, the plants may die. Nemophila does not withstand high air temperatures.
In order for the nemophila to survive the heat easily, it must be watered frequently and the soil and roots kept cool, so a large layer of mulch is needed.
How long does Nemophila bloom
Especially when you consider that it can be sown three times a year: in March - for seedlings; in early May and mid-June - in the ground. This will prolong its flowering from May to October.
