Venus flytrap can be grown on a windowsill. The plant needs to create special conditions of detention.

How to grow a venus flytrap

We close the plastic container with the seeds sown there with a transparent film and put it in a dark and preferably warm place. If spring or summer, then it is best on the windowsill, if autumn-winter, then under the lamp. In principle, not necessarily in a heavily lit place, but with a dark location, the seeds will germinate longer.

How many times a month should a Venus Flytrap be fed

Insects must be alive, the Venus flytrap will not close traps with dead mosquitoes. Do not feed Dionea more than twice a month. Food is digested in the trap for about two weeks.

Preferably no more than one insect per week. If you overfeed the flycatcher, it can wither. Feeding is optional, in winter it is better not to feed at all due to the dormant period. One trap is designed for 3-5 activations, after which it dies off.

How to water a venus flytrap

Watering is recommended to be carried out 3 times a week, using a pallet. If you want to water in the usual upper way, then we recommend that you do not fall into traps, otherwise the plant may die. The soil in the pot should always be slightly damp.
