You can grow geraniums both at home and in the garden. There are important rules.
Where is the best place to grow geraniums
Geranium prefers moist, nutritious and well-drained soil. Choose a well-lit place in the garden or in the house for the plant.
If you grow geraniums outside, move the pots indoors in the fall to protect the plant from the cold.
Neutral or alkaline soil is good for growing flowers.
You can grow the plant in beds, containers or hanging flower pots.
If growing under glass, protect them from direct sunlight during the height of summer.
How to care for geraniums
To encourage the flower to bloom, water the geranium thoroughly.
After flowering, remove all wilted and damaged leaves and trim the plant by a third.
In winter, place geraniums in a warm, bright place in the house.
In the cold season, watering should be reduced. In spring, fertilize the plant and water the flower more often.
In the house, grow geraniums away from heating devices and open fire.
