Roses can be rooted at any time of the year.
However, plan to take the cutting when daytime temperatures are above 55°F and below 90; ideal - from 70 to 80.
This will probably be spring and autumn.
How to grow
Water the bush the day before you cut your roses. Cut the flower early in the morning.
Select stems immediately below buds that are about to open.
Immediately place the cuttings in a container of water, away from direct sunlight.
After this, you should scrape a couple of strips of green skin from the bottom of the rose stem.
However, do not remove the skin around the stem completely.
Then remove the rose bud and almost all the leaves (leave a couple).
These procedures will help stimulate root growth.
After this, stick the rose cutting into the soil, water thoroughly and put on a moisture-proof cover.
Place the pot containing the cutting in an area with indirect sunlight.
The rose will take about 12 months to be fully established and ready to be planted in the garden.
