Over time, the pile on the carpet becomes less beautiful and lush. How can this be fixed?
How to restore pile on a carpet
To make your carpet look like new, you will need to sprinkle table salt or baking soda on the surface.
Leave the product on for a couple of hours and then steam vacuum the carpet.
This method will restore the fluffiness of the pile and also help clean and disinfect the surface.
You can also try sweeping away any remaining salt or baking soda with an important brush first and vacuuming the carpet a second time.
Another effective way to restore lint is a mixture of peroxide, liquid soap and soda.
Mix all ingredients in the same ratio and add water to a liter.
Vacuum the carpet and then apply the solution to the surface using a spray.
Wait for the liquid to dry, and then go over the carpet with a stiff brush, combing the pile upward.
This will also help you restore your carpet to its original appearance.
How to soften carpet pile
You will need a regular hair dryer. Direct a stream of steam or hot air onto the crushed area for 4-5 seconds and carefully comb the pile with a stiff brush.
